WHO ARE WE?

d' Gama Gerardus, a native Flores who is the Managing Director, his blend of idealism,  practicality, skills and care about impact tourism has on community and environment, soon translated into a very simple and successful formula.  He involved in tourism since 1986 and has breathed, eaten and slept travel to most corners of the East Indonesia: ►KOMODO-RINCA  ►FLORES  ►LEMBATA  ►ALOR  ►WEST TIMOR  ►SABU-ROTE  ►SUMBA.

In 2001 he founded Ila One Nua Foundation, a small scale non profit organization based in Maumere–Flores, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia with VISION: to achieve an inland village society where every villagers live healthy, educated, secured and prosperous in body and soul, more dignity and degree as citizen of the nation. Sovereign in political field, self support in economic and personality according to their own indigenous-culture-value. MISSION: to combat, relieve, prevent and to protect ignored citizen of inland villages from poverty, illiteracy, cruelty and injustice development and to support and making them able to fulfill their own potential. FIELD OF ACTIVITIES: Education; Sustainable Cultivation and Agriculture; Health Care, Clean Drinking Water and Sanitation; Society Economical Empowerment; Equal Gender; Art and Culture; Eco Tourism; Natural Conservation and Uninterrupted Environment; and Increase Consciousness and Spiritual Brightness.

Our PT. Nusa Wisata Tours and Travel Service, is the Ila One Nua Foundation’s only Fund Raising Body, established to raise fund for the work of the foundation and to directly execute the ecotourism program.

We teamed up of five permanent staffs who also hold the position of Multi Lingual Tour Guides, also has incorporated with few selected of quality Freelance Tour Guides and Local Contacts.  All of them are native people, reliable Tour Leader, knowledgeable, experienced and tour fellow for you.

Our Nusa Wisata Adventure Specialist has run a wide range of best quality tours, treks, safaris, and expeditions for small group adventure travelers more likely to appeal to the adventurous in spirit who want more real and authentic holidays, stay away from mass tourism and search for something they have lost in "modernity" - visiting the most remote, little visited and unusual destinations along the Indonesia's Eastern Islands that we ourselves love so much.

We are committed to resorting a different nuance of touring in these islands, range from wild nature adventure, village camping to village stay.   This 'specialty' aims to bring tourists to be closer to distinctive nature and to interact and share the goals of Responsible Tourism with indigenous people with their culture without ignoring the essence of your Prime Vacation Privacy.

We are the only agent having this qualification and are expert on our own back yard.  We'd love to show and let you go through the Indonesia's Eastern Islands in a way of our own service.  We absolutely sure we can serve you better then anyone else..!

We operate a 'Reasonable Price Policy’ so you will always get excellent value for money.  At the same time you can be assured that our suppliers receive realistic and fair prices for the services they provide.  All prices of tour package we add up 10% for the work of our Ila One Nua Foundation.

Tourism is the world’s fastest growing industry and is expected to go on growing well into the 22nd century.  Most of that growth will be in developing countries.

It has a huge impact on many communities.  Along side the benefits roads, income. Links with the rest of the world–has been the downside for many communities where tourism development has been too fast, too big, or to heavy-handed, many poor communities have seen farmland and fishing ground taken over, their villages and beaches swamped by visitors.  And it often brings stark contrast between local living standards and a lavish, resort way of life.  Who Can Stop These All?

Like many other tourism practitioners, we at Nusa Wisata Adventure Specialist also want to have the Indonesia's Eastern Islands be promoted worldwide and more visited.  But, we are more concerned at the impact tourism has on communities and environment.  We support the development of tourism – tourism that travelers enjoy and their Vacation Privacy is well guaranteed but must not at the expense of local communities we visit.

Our Nusa Wisata Adventure Specialist tries to offer more attractive and quality tours that have a Positive Impact on host communities; that are sustainable – and which don’t destroy the livelihood or culture of the host community and the attractions that brought tourists in the first place.  Nusa wisata Adventure specialist supports tourism that keeps benefits in the host community, and where the local community has some control over the role of tourism in their lives.
